You're going to be judged anyway.....

It doesn't matter what you do, say, act or look like these days, you're going to be judged either way. You're going to have fans and haters and that's just the way life goes.

I use to "play it safe" and never put myself out there. I hate confrontation anyway, but I always thought if I tried harder to fit in or to hide my true feelings that people would like me better and if they liked me better then I would be happier.

WRONG.

Its taken me nearly 40 years to figure this out. People are going to judge you regardless, no matter if you play is safe, try to fit in and play nice or if you're a renegade. We get one life, and when you die, you aren't going to be happy you lived your life to appease someone else. Guaranteed you'll regret it.

I judge too, but I've been working extremely hard to be better and NOT JUDGING others. I judge myself harder than anyone else, and it's something I've been trying to get better at NOT DOING.

I realize most people form judgments and opinions, myself included, from what others say, or from just assuming and not knowing both sides of the story.

I take a lot of pride in being honest. I work very hard and I decided to share more of my life, work and thoughts along with the pictures I take. I also have grown some thick skin. I know before I post content that I'm going to get haters and people who disagree with me. The disagreeing I am 100% fine with. Even people not liking me, my pictures, etc. But the death messages, and the extreme rudeness and vulgarity I get used to bother me. Now I just delete and block those types of messages/people.

But I also have a right to post what I want and I'm entitled to my views and opinions. So I'm going to keep sharing them.

A couple weeks ago I had a few people msg me on Instagram and Facebook telling me how fake I am, and how I have no clue on how to care for animals and that they hope I go broke and go to prison for mistreating my animals. I deleted and blocked without responding to them because they weren't worth my time. Then I decided to put a SHORT POST out about my thoughts on animal abuse. I kept it short and sweet and didn't fully go into everything I wanted to say because I didn't feel like it.

CLICK PICTURE TO BE TAKEN TO THE POST IF YA WANT.

I'm sure there are a few good people who belong to animal rights groups and even PETA, but the majority have NO CLUE what REAL LIFE in AG is about. We work so hard, sacrifice so much and take better care of our stock and crops than anyone else on earth. I bawl every time an animal dies. I can't explain the love and pride we have for our lifestyle, and I'm tired of misinformed people judging us when they have no clue what they are talking about.

Yes, I did see that video of the undercover dairy and the mistreatment of calves. I was appalled and disgusted and wanted to do the same thing to the people who were in it.

99.5% of ranchers, farmers, cowboys, sheep men, dairy men, etc. DO NOT TREAT ANIMALS LIKE THAT. There's always a few who give the rest a bad name. That goes for ALL HUMANS on earth.

And one more thing, I've also been told that because I wear mascara (which I usually apply on Sunday and wear till wed, then re-apply) I'm a fake and I've never worked a day in my life. Be VERY careful with your judgements and assumptions because they will make a total ass out of you and you will be put in your place and humbled big time.

Marty Robbins song "Continental Suit" is the perfect song for what I'm talking about. Another scene that comes to mind is in QUIGLEY at the end when he kills Marsten with a pistol. He stands over him after he shoots him and says "I said I didn't have much use for one, but never said I don't know how to use one" (a pistol).

So live your life according to your morals and values. Work hard. Stay humble. Keep an open mind and stand up for what you believe in. And ALWAYS try to look at it by standing in the other guys shoes. Try to judge less, but don't tolerate rude behavior in folks and Woodrow puts it.

Oh, and just a little heads up, I use to just post on FB about my books, calendars and prints being available but not everyone sees them due to the algorithm. So I will email everyone interested (you can sign up here on my site) when they will be available. If you or family/friends don't have Fb, feel free to share my site with them.
